The Promise: 8 Years Later

Buffy disappeared, their leader died, and the remnants of the Scooby
Gang formed a pact that meant forever. Now, eight years later, they are
reminded of their promise as they come back together to find an old friend,
a new enemy and realize that no matter what happens, true friends are always
there.
Disclaimer: Buffy and Co' are all owned by Joss Whedon and the
WB, I own no one. No one I tell you!
Author's Notes: This story takes an alternate timeline arc that
takes place right after Becoming II, when Buffy leaves, and things go decidedly
darker for the Gang. It starts out depressing, but ends happy. I promise!
Contains C/X, W/O, B/A, and implied C/O and X/W. (Don't worry, you'll get
it.)
More Notes: There are also four prequel vignettes out, each
told from the fab four's prospective that cover the time period that leads
